About the Position

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee our Specialty Services teams. As a privately-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospital, we pride ourselves on providing advanced and specialized veterinary services to our clients and referring veterinarians. As the Practice Manager of Specialty Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology departments. This includes managing multiple teams of veterinary specialists and technicians, coordinating schedules, ensuring quality control, and maintaining excellent client and referring veterinarian relationships. You will play a key role in working directly with our leadership team, developing and implementing strategies to grow the specialty services department and enhance our reputation in the industry.

Our ideal candidate is a highly organized and motivated individual with a strong background in veterinary management. You should have a deep understanding of veterinary specialty services, and a strong knowledge base and skillset in veterinary medicine. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for this role, as you will be collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the specialty services department, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with veterinary specialists, technicians, and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and customer service.
  • Direct hands on work alongside team members includes regularly scheduled "on the floor" responsibilities.
  • Boost engagement and energize your teams by running efficient and purposeful team meetings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the reputation and growth of the specialty services departments.
  • Oversee the training and development of staff members to ensure adherence to standards and policies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and referring veterinarians, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Ideal Candidate

  • Credentialed veterinary professional, CVPM preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary medicine, preferably in a specialty and emergency services setting.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a veterinary practice manager preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of veterinary medicine, including emergency care, internal medicine, surgery, and oncology.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in veterinary practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
