About the Position

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Vice President of Operations. As a family-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospital, we are dedicated to providing advanced and specialized veterinary services to our clients and referring veterinarians in Florida and South Carolina. With a commitment to high-quality care, we work together with pet owners and primary veterinarians to ensure the best outcomes for each patient.

As the Vice President of Operations, you will play a crucial role in the overall management and growth of our veterinary centers. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer to help carry out the day-to-day function of the hospitals and ensure completion of long-term projects and directives. Your responsibilities will encompass various operational aspects, including streamlining processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of patient care. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team of hospital directors, veterinarians and support staff to ensure the smooth functioning of our facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction in the day-to-day operations of the veterinary centers
  • Implement company / hospital programs and policies as directed by the COO.
  • Assist with hospital budgeting and financial management, including monitoring expenses and revenue generation
  • Develop an onboarding program for hospital directors
  • Assist with training and development of the hospital directors
  • Develop company / hospital standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards
  • Communicate and support key initiatives impacting hospital staff, translating organizational objectives into market and hospital-specific action plans.
  • Maintain oversight of the electronic medical record (EMR) to ensure medical record accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work with the information technology (IT) team to ensure hospital systems and technology (ie. inventory systems, in-house medical equipment) integrate and function appropriately.
  • Assist with the development and opening of any future hospital locations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians and other stakeholders
  • Identify and implement opportunities for business growth and expansion

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 3 years management experience, preferably in a healthcare or veterinary setting required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Credentialed technician and/or CVPM preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
  • Passion for animals and commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care.
  • Ability to travel to all Fetch locations, with up to 30% travel required.
