About the Position
Fetch Veterinary is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a vital role in supporting the human resources department and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions within Fetch Veterinary. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Move candidates through the applicant tracking system, create offer letters, coordinate applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks, and social security number verification
- Assist with the set-up, accurate maintenance, migration of all employee records and files, and full integration of multiple systems into a new HRIS system
- Coordinate employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
- Maintain employees' personnel files and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
- Assist with implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across the organization
- Administer employee performance evaluation process
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues and inquiries
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS)
- Assist with HR reporting and data analysis
- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Support other HR projects and initiatives as assigned

- Knowledge of HR best practices and current employment laws
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools, proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and Human Resources software a plus
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
