About the Position
Fetch Veterinary is a thriving animal hospital dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to pets in our community. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Specialty Swing Shift Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Specialty Swing Shift Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our four-legged patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including but not limited to handling, restraint, and administration of medications
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal testing
- Monitor vital signs of patients during surgical procedures and recovery
- Prepare animals for surgery, including administering anesthesia and assisting with intubation
- Perform diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays and ultrasounds, and assist with interpreting results
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Provide comfort and support to pet owners during difficult times
Ideal Candidate
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital, preferably in a specialty setting
- Proficiency in common veterinary procedures and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work swing shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
